About me

I enjoy working with clients and families of all ages. I love collaborating with families to help people grow, resolve challenges, and learn new skills. I try to bring a light, caring, and playful disposition to appointments. I love to share space with, and learn from the families that I work with. I take diligent notes to help people track their goals.

I use Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Collaborative Problem Solving, and Family Systems Theory approaches.

I have a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from The California Institute of Integral Studies, 2002, and a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in Psychology from The Evergreen State College, 1997. I have over 17 years of counseling experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Oregon since 2013.

I enjoy walking, hiking, exercising, music, family, gardening, movies, and mindfulness.

I am currently accepting new clients aged 7-17.

I am currently working with continuing and returning clients of all ages.

I do most of my work with children, adolescents, and parents in the room together. I also see children, adolescents, and adults individually. I also work with parents without children present.

I offer 30 min, 45 min, and 60 minute in person and telehealth appointments. Most clients choose 45 min appointments. Insurance copays are the same for all appointment lengths.

I offer a mixed approach of listening, client skill building, parent skill building, humor, empathy, game play, and fun.

I am skilled in working with clients on issues of depression, ADHD, anxiety, behavior, academic issues, school avoidance, social issues, sibling issues, social anxiety, panic, motivation, parenting, and ADHD assessments.
